My personal recommendations for places to eat ramen in Mexico City... and some sushi as well
My main recommendation, you'd be better of calling for a reservation because it's busy but booking an hour ahead should be enough. Amazing dishes and the ramen is tasty, very good noodles. Get the Callo Mayo sushi too if you're sharing with someone.
Beautiful small place at the corner of Medellín with Álvaro Obregón, very low prices and tasty, has a vegan friendly menu and portions are small compared to other shops but allows for trying many different things.
One of the purest ramen and sushi places in the city, at the heart of Zona Rosa, it's divided into the small ramen shop and the full restaurant (Wan Wan), the ramen is served in both sides but the small ramen bar only seats 8 people and only serves ramen. Quite a busy place, sometimes you'll wait about half an hour for either place.
This is the restaurant of one of the owners of El Mog, after they split this one became a very good destination for Japanese and asian cuisine. Varied selection of dishes. A bit pricey for what it is. Really crowded on weekends.
It's a good ramen BUT for the price... just go to Kura or Kaminari Tonkotsu. The ramen is good but not that good that it's worth the price. Have been a couple of times and service is below average. Not sure if it's been getting better over time. I'd only say you should go if you want to get Wagyu, otherwise just skip it.
Small chain of asian food restaurants, somewhat commercial but still good, nice atmosphere and service, great variety of sushi and cocktails. I usually prefer this over Sushi Roll and Sushi Itto when it comes to chain restaurants.
It may be one of the most famous ramen places in CDMX. It's decent, fairly priced, but wouldn't be my first choice. They have many varieties of ramen and other dishes, so if you want to try something slightly different, this is the place.
This is my most recent addition to the list, the ramen has a particular favor that I cannot fully trace but I'd describe it as 'smoke' or 'charcoal' and it's delicious. The place is small and just opened so it's not crowded yet. Chef doesn't speak English but staff is attentive and friendly.
